The acting village coroner, Dr. H. A. Schulz, Edgar, estimated she died of natural causes Sunday at about 9 a.m. The widow lived alone. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in St. Stephen's Lutheran Church at Edgar and burial will be in the Edgar cemetery. The body will be in the Gilles and Son Funeral Home at Athens Wednesday. Born in Germantown Feb. 26, 1878, Mrs. Tessmer was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Adam Hoffman. She married the late August Tessmer Nov. 17, 1896, in the Town of Rib Falls, where Mr. Tessmer farmed for about 57 years. He died in 1953. She was an Athens resident about 10 years. Survivors include two sons, Ervin, 620 Augusta Ave., and Harvey, Town of Rietbrock; a daughter, Mrs. Fred Thoss, Milwaukee; a brother, John Hoffman, Marshfield; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Tessmer, Marshfield, and Mrs. Mary Baesemann, Town of Rib Falls; 10 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
