Sixth avenue, retired farmer of the town of Wien, died last night at 8:15 o'clock at home after a long illness. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 1 o'clock at home and at 2 o'clock at St. John's Lutheran church in the town of Wien. The Rev. Emanuel Malueg will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The body, now at the Helke funeral home, will be taken to the residence Monday afternoon. Born in Germany April 3, 1865, Mr. Neitzel came to the United States in 1890 and located in Chicago. He was married there November 16 of that year to Augusta Totzke. In 1893 the couple moved to a farm in the town of Wien, where they lived until coming to Wausau in 1927. Mr. Neitzel did gardening work for a number of years after they moved here. Surviving are his widow; four children, Herman and Otto Neitzel, town of Wien, Fred Neitzel, town of Frankfort, and Walter Neitzel of Goodrich. Two sisters in Germany and seven grandchildren also survive.
