Hartle, 61, a lifelong resident of Rozellville, suffered a fatal heart attack at his home shortly after 7 o'clock this morning. The body is at the Rembs Funeral Home, but arrangements for services are indefinite, pending word from a son who is assigned to military duty in Europe. Mr. Hartle was born Jan. 13, 1901 at Rozellville where he had lived his entire life. He operated a garage there for about 15 years and for the past 15 years had been employed by the Felix Merkel. Construction Company in Marshfield. He was a member of St. Andrew's Society and the Holy Name Society of St. Andrew's Catholic Church. He was married to Christian Bornbach who died in 1936. His second marriage was in June 28, 1938 to Barbara Peters, who survives him. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Pfc. Raymond Hartle, serving with the United States Army in Europe: Marvin Hartle, Menomonie and Kenneth Hartle, Toledo, Ohio; two daughters, Mrs. William (Elaine) Wix, Marshfield and Kathleen, at home: seven grandchildren; three brothers: Ervin, Belfield, N.D., and Kermit and Jerome Hartle, Rozellville and a sister, Mrs. Albert Harter, Marshfield. A brother preceded him in death.
