Breseman of Marshfield will be interested to learn of his marriage to Miss Gladys Miriam Burt, of that city, which took place Monday afternoon, August 18 at the famous "Little Brown Church in the Vale" at Nashua, Iowa. The Rev. William Kent of the Bradford, Iowa, Congregational church read the service. Immediately after the ceremony Mr. Breseman and his bride left for a week's automobile trip through northern Wisconsin. They will reside at 700 South Oak Street, Marshfield, and will be at home to friends after September 1. The bridegroom made many Wausau friends while attending the Wausau business institute, where he recently completed a course in advanced bookkeeping. He is now employed with the Marshfield Hardware and Auto company.

During the evening 75 friends were entertained at an informal dancing party at the home of the bride, 1201 Third street and at midnight a supper was served. At the parsonage of St. Stephen's church at 4 o'clock Saturday afternoon occurred the marriage of Miss Hilda Raduechel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Raduechel, and Albert Volkmann, son of William Volkmann of the town of Texas. The Rev. William Spiegel performed the ceremony with Miss Florence Raduechel, a cousin of the bride, attending as maid of honor and Charles Volkmann, brother of the bridegroom as best man. The bride was attired in an ankle length gown of ivory satin and a long veil of embroidered net and carried a shower bouquet of Ophelia roses and white snapdragons. The maid of honor wore maize chiffon, and carried carnations and pink and yellow snapdragons. A reception at the home of the bride's parents followed and in the evening 250 guests were entertained at a dancing party at the Colonial hall in the town of Weston. White wedding bells and streamers in pastel shades decorated the home and the dance hall. The out of town guests present were Mrs. T. E. Suehring and daughter Amanda, Mr. and Mrs. August Jeske and August Day of Shawano and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Vickery and daughter, Charlotte of Kalamazoo, Mich. Married in Hospital Room to Please the Groom's Grandmother An Associated Press dispatch today carries the announcement of the marriage of Raymond E. Johnson, son of Mrs. Minerva Johnson, 512 Stewart avenue, to Miss Elizabeth Bronson of Oshkosh. Because they had promised the bridegroom's grandmother that she would be in attendance at their wedding, the young couple was married in a room at the Methodist hospital at Madison Saturday, July 5. Mrs. Emma Johnson, formerly of this city, who is the bridegroom's grandmother, is confined to that hospital with a broken hip. Because the wedding had been set for that day, the bride and groom made good their pledge with a wedding in the hospital. Many Wausau readers will remember Miss Bronson, who taught the Fourth grade in the Lincoln school in 1925 and 1926.

Berterman in a mid-summer setting of unusual charm in which baskets of cut flowers were attractively arranged against a solid background of palms and ferns. The bridal party entered the church to the strains of Lohengrin's wedding march, played by Lennard Seim, and preceding the ceremony Mrs. Geo. Silverthorn sang "All For You," by Hardlot, and later the hymn, "O, Beautiful Love." Miss Madalon Quade, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor and Andrew Sannes of Madison the best man. The bridesmaids were Miss Helen Lemke, Miss Esther Gahnz, Miss Norma Zilisch and Miss Leona Schroeder. Dr. D. E. Sannes of Madison, Walter Kurth, Clifford Streck and Marvin Holub were the ushers. Little Clarice Kischel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Kischel, of Chicago, a cousin of the bride, officiated as flower girl. The bride was attired in a gown of white ivory satin trimmed with bow knots and imported Spanish lace, with veil of tulle arranged in cap effect fashioned of the lace which trimmed her gown. She carried a bouquet of orchids, Ophelia roses and lilies of the valley. She was given in marriage by her father. The maid of honor was attired in a becoming frock of coral georgette and lace with slippers and hose to match, and wore a coral maline picture hat with long streamers of the maline, and carried an arm bouquet of Sunburst roses. The bridesmaids, Miss Helen Lemke and Miss Esther Gahnz wore frocks in bouffant effect of pink georgette over pink satin, with stockings and slippers to match, and their picture hats were blue maline. The other two, Miss Leone Schroeder and Miss Norma Zilisch, wore blue georgette over pink, the frocks all being fashioned the same and their picture hats were of pink maline and they wore blue slippers and hose. The bridesmaids carried bouquets of Sunburst roses, snap-dragons and larkspur, fastened to tall reed staffs. The little flower girl wore a ruffled white georgette frock over pink satin and carried a basket of rosebuds, larkspur and babies breath. The bride's mother was attired in a dress of monkey-skin georgette over pink trimmed with ecru lace, and wore a corsage of mixed flowers. Following the ceremony a reception was held at the Hotel Wausau where dinner was served to the members of the bridal party, relatives and guests, covers being laid for seventy-five. Baskets of cut flowers and lighted yellow and lavendar tapers formed the decorations. Among the out of town guests here for the ceremony were: Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Kischel and children of Oak Park, Illinois, and Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Fisher and Miss Estelle Smith of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Zorn of Toledo, Ohio, Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Sannes, Miss Marie Sannes, Dr. D. E. Sannes and Andrew Sannes of Madison, and Miss Katherine Rood of Stevens Point. The bride is a graduate of the American Conservatory of Music of Chicago, a member of the Phi Beta Sororiety, the Tuesday Musical Club and of the faculty of the Wausau Conservatory of Music. The groom holds a responsible position with the Wausau Sulphate Fibre Company of Mosinee in the capacity of electrical engineer. He is an accomplished musician and his violin solos have delighted numerous audiences at Mosinee and elsewhere. The happy couple will spend their honeymoon at Chicago, Madison and other points in the southern part of the state and will be at home at Mosinee after August 1st. One of the pleasurable incidents in connection with this happy marriage was the receipt of a radiogram broadcast from Oslo, Norway by the groom's mother, Mrs. Aslaug Imingen, and received here bearing the well wishes and felicitations of Mrs. Imingen. This is one of the few instances, perhaps, where messages have been received over so great a distance.

The Rev. Paul Schroeder of St. Peters' church of the town of Texas officiated. The home was prettily decorated with pink, white and blue streamers and white wedding bells, and cut flowers and pink and white candles were used on the tables. The bride wore a lovely dress of white georgette embroidered in rose design and wore a veil of embroidered net arranged in a fan with a wreath of orange blossoms. Her bouquet was a shower of yellow and white chrysanthemums and baby mums. The bridesmaid, Miss Eleanor Jarness, sister of the bride was attired in cedarwood flat crepe trimmed with sand colored crepe and carried an arm bouquet of lavendar and white chrysanthemums. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Erwin Sann. Two hundred guests were invited to the reception and dinner at the home, which followed the ceremony, and in the evening a dance was held at a nearby hall. Among the guests were a number from Wausau and several from Mosinee and Stevens Point. Mr. and Mrs. Sann will reside in this city.

The bridegroom had as his attendant his brother, Raymond Lemke of this city. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served to fifty guests at tables decorated in a color scheme of orchid and white. Mr. and Mrs. Lemke have departed for a short trip and upon their return will make their home in Milwaukee.

Krueger, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Krueger of the town of Texas, which took place at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon, the Rev. J. H. Nau of St. John's Lutheran church of the town of Easton officiating. The church altar was trimmed with autumn leaves and garden flowers. In the bridal party were Miss Elsa Paulmann, sister of the bride, as maid of honor and Miss Ada Treibel and Miss Irene Krueger as bridesmaids, Ewald Kell, as best man, and Arthur Paulmann, brother of the bride and Walter Baumann, the groomsmen. The bride was dressed very becomingly in a gown of white satin trimmed with soft folds of georgette and wore a veil of tulle caught into cap effect with clusters of orange blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet of roses, swansonias and baby-breath. The maid of honor was attired in pink beaded georgette and she wore a corsage bouquet of roses and lace flowers. Miss Treibel wore yellow flat crepe with rhinestone trimming and Miss Krueger was in green georgette and both had corsage bouquets of autumn flowers tied with ribbons to match their dresses. A reception at the home of the bride's mother followed the ceremony to which seventy-five guests had been invited. A 6:00 o'clock dinner was served and in the evening dancing was enjoyed. The home was decorated with streamers in pastel shades and with garden flowers. The out-of-town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Kalbinde of Phelps and Louis Paulmann of Phelps, a brother of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. Krueger will reside on a farm in the town of Texas and will be at home to their friends after October 8.

"Cy" Lillie, 81, 402 S. Sixth St., died Monday at his home after a long illness. Mr. Lillie was manager of the former Frederick Hotel for many years, and later operated the Owl Bar. He was born Oct. 15, 1892, at Wausau, Wis. He came to Grand Forks in 1912 and was affiliated with the Frederick Hotel. He served in the Army during World War I. Following his discharge, he returned to Grand Forks and served as manager of the Frederick until it was destroyed by fire in 1944. He owned and operated the Owl Bar until his retirement in 1959 due to ill health. Mr. Lillie was a member of American Legion Post 6 and was long interested in Junior Legion baseball and managed local teams in 1945. He also directed the drum and bugle corps for 15 years and was American Legion Commander in 1937-38. He was a member of the Grand Forks Elks Club for 58 years and was made a life member in 1969. Mr. Lillie was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. He married Estelle Deickert* on Aug 11, 1920 at Grand Forks. She survives in addition to one son, Dick, Cass Lake, Minn.; one daughter, Patricia Ann at home; one grandson, Clay Lillie, Cass Lake; a sister, Mrs. Nelson (Harriet) Servic, Naples, Fla.; and two brothers, Ralph, Steven's Point, Wis., and Maurice, Wausau. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Grand Forks Norman Funeral Home with Rev. Frederick Gillette of St. Paul's Espiscopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with honors accorded by the American Legion. Visitation will be Wednesday afternoon and evening at the funeral home. The family prefers memorials to American Legion baseball or St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
