I'm looking for any leads to the parents of Mary and Nicholas Wisneske/Wisniewski. The parents are John and Frances who came from Poland to WI around 1871-1873. I have Mary Wisneski Senoracke's obit and Nicholas Wisniewski's obit and it talks about a sister/half-sister Catherine Sczezinski/Sczeczynski who married Peter Cherek. Thanks in advance for any help. Funeral services will be held in St. John's Lutheran Church, Mosinee at 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Paul Knutson will officiate and burail will be in the Mosinee cemetery. The body will be at the Beste Funeral Home, Mosinee at 7 o'clock tonight. It will be taken to the church at 11 a.m. Friday. Born June 29, 1890, in Germany, Mrs. Barnett was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Osiecki. She came to St. Louis, Mo., in 1905 and moved to the Town of Reed in 1922. On June 16, 1916, she was married to Mack Barnett, who survives. Immigrated to America, settling for a time in Dakota County, MN, before homesteading in Codington County, SD in 1880's (still waiting for his homestead papers, issued June 29, 1888). His wife was Magdelena Ludwig I believe. They had four children - Nicholas 1876, Elizabeth 1878, John 1880, and Magdelena 1886. Nicholas was my gr-grandfather, born 6-6-1876 in Dakota County, MN as were Elizabeth and John. Magdelena was born in SD. As these names are the same as so many in your family, I wonder if there is any connection.

In particular the name of the town where Bertha was born and where they lived. The family immigrated in 1874. Bertha was a half-sister to my grandfather Albert Schallock, who left the McMillan area in the mid-1880's. Any hints are greatly appreciated. My dad is the last child of Albert, is 89 and failing fast. He wants to know more information.
