    1. [WIMARATH-L] Need help with Kline name
    2. Minnia (Mina, Minnie or confirmed as Emilie Dorothea) Raasch was born in Gr. to Johann Friedrich Heinrich Raasch and Emilia Krueger. The family came to the US via Canada in 1866. They lived in Cold Spring, WI before settling in Scott Co. Minnie married Silsby James Kline 8 Aug, 1867 at Merrill Methodist Episcopal Church. He was born in PA in 1858. They had a son Orr born in 1888. They showed up on several censuses in Merrill. Silsby died in Merrill 8 Aug. 1944. The date I have for Minnie's death is 24 Dec. 1942. This came from a researcher who found this information at the church but that was all I was able to obtain. She is not buried by Silsby who is at Merrill Memorial Pk. She was not with him at the time of the 1920 Census when he was at a lumbercamp in Town of Harrison. There is no death certificate for her in the state of WI or CA where Orr moved before 1920. A check of the obituary indexes in Lincoln Co. show nothing. She is not listed in the Cemetery Inscriptions Index for Marathon Co. One wonders if she is buried in a backyard!!!! Other living family members have no information either. Where can I look now? By the way, son Orr would not speak of his parents to his children so they knew nothing about Silsby and Minnie! Any suggestions would be sincerely appreciated! Silsby's father was born in NY and lived in PA where he enlisted in the Civil War and died in Libby Prison as a prisioner of war. His mother Margaret came to WI with her children one of whom was Daniel Kline who has figures in Merrill history. I have researched the lines of all her children's families but information on Minnie seems nonexistant! I believe the Klines from this family are long gone from the area. If anyone has any information, please write to me, Beth Raasch fweraa[email protected]

    3. Hi list, has anyone had any luck getting death certs prior to 1907? I know prior to this date registration was voluntary, and most events weren't filed. I'm just wondering what my chances are of getting a death cert. from 1884. Thanks! Carrie

    3. Hello, I have a few questions about the Methodist Cemetery in Corning (in the Marathon County, WI Cemetery Inscriptions index book, it is listed as cemetery #117 in Section 34 of Corning Twshp.): 1) Is this cemetery affiliated with a particular Methodist congregation? If so, is that church still in existence and do they hold the cemetery records? If they do not hold the records, who does? 2) Can anyone familiar with this cemetery please send along directions, especially the road and/or nearest intersection? Thanks very much! 3. Indexing. If you worked on an index before October, 2001 you can use any thing on it except cause of death. If you are now indexing (Since October 2001) you can only include the field that I told you about. This means any indexing you did before October 2001 you can use what you extracted. Any indexing you have done since then you can only use the fields that I wrote. Sorry if there was any mix-up.
