    1. Wild Rose Historical Museum Opens June 15th
    2. Pam Anderson
    3. The Wild Rose Museum will open June 15, 2005 at 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. If you are not there by 3:00 PM, you will be too late because the last tour starts at 3:00 and if no one is there the volunteers close for the day. The Museum is open in the summer on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons. It closes the Saturday before Labor Day. The museum has the Elisha Stewart house, the barn & blacksmith shop, a one room school, the smoke house, the carriage house, Pioneer Hall, The weaving room, the General store, and a gift shop. You can see the bank that the 1905 robbers failed to rob, complete with the dented dial from the safe. You can also return July 16th for the reenactment. The following website gives directions to the museum http://www.1wisconsin.com/wildrose/Museum/museum.htm . This is an inexpensive way to spend an afternoon as admission is $1 for adults and fifty cents for children. Pam Anderson, President of The Wild Rose Historical Society

The cemetary on the East side of the highway was primarily Catholic and the West was Protestant. Approximately Forty to Forty-Five years ago when the at that time Highway 51 was rebuild and widen, several graves were moved to the new Knowlton Cemetery on Highway C east of Knowlton.
