OK, folks, let's get a grip. Those of us who have East Tennessee Wilsons know about TVA. Those not interested in East Tennessee Wilsons probably don't care. I care!!!!!! I, for one, was delighted to see the postings from Kkmama2001@aol.com and not because I think we are connected but because it helps me sort the many Wilsons in East Tennessee. Considering the number of other surnames she lists that are common to the area of my family, I know they married into some of the same families. When you are sorting common surnames such as Wilson in a small area it helps to be able to know those to exclude from your search. My Thomas Wilson (ca. 1760 -- 1806) died in (prob. Montgomery County) Virginia and his widow, Elizabeth Mynatt Wilson, after his death promptly moved her family to East Tennessee where her family had moved earlier. Her known children were Rebecca, Mary, John, Robert, Sarah, Solomon, James, William Margarite and Theodocia. Some list a Samuel and Thomas but don't include Rebecca or Robert.
