    3. Somehow I missed the original question about ancestry.com and genealogy.com, but I'd like to say that I'm not going to be without ancestry.com ever, I hope. Yes, there are things that are frustrating; the fact that the 1860 through 1910 censuses not indexed, for example; and the thing that REALLY bothers me is the fact that Tennessee censuses are not linked to the images. They assure me that they're working on it, but the sooner the better, because TN is the state I'm researching the most right now. Now those are my criticisms, but as I said, I'll continue subscribing. All the genealogy.com censuses are not indexed either, so a friend and I have an arrangement. I have ancestry.com; he has genealogy.com; so we look in the indexes for each other, since the indexed years are not the same in both programs. Works for us! I should have added that even though all the years are not indexed, in their databases are indexes for several states for all the years. Once I have the page number from there, it's not TOO difficult and time-consuming to find the image page. 3. Hi Listers, I've been reading all these postings about ancestry.com, and I have to agree with Barbara. It's not perfect, but I subscribe to the entire package and do not plan to give it up. I've been a subscriber about 5 years now, and I've always been contacted when it's time for renewal, most often by phone. Certainly, it will be much better when they complete the census index for all the years, and get the images all linked properly, but I have found many cousins in all my lines which offsets any difficulties with the census images. When I come across errors, I report them to rightnow@ancestry.com and they always respond within 24 hours. For the annual fee, I don't think you could do much better. 3. I should have said one more thing. Ancestry.com sends me an email notice when it is time to renew, and I don't have trouble getting help from them, usually within 24 hours. A few months ago, a tech support woman and I emailed back and forth in real time until I had the answer I needed. Also, last year when I had a problem with something that was supposed to be there but wasn't, they added an extra month to my subscription year because of it. I've said enough--everyone can tell that I highly recommend it.
