    1. [WILSON-L] Wilson item on Ebay
    2. An item identified as "John & Mahala Wilson Family History" is currently on Ebay as Item # 2927992831. The following is quoted from the item description: "WILSON WANDERINGS A Brief Family History of the Descendants of John and Mahala Wilson ~ By their great great grandson William James Wilson ~ Dated 1989, this is #31 of 50 self published copies. Well cared for, this is clean and in excellent condition. Found this very nice family history in a jumble box bought at an estate sale. Have seen several of these over the years, and this one ranks right up there in every department. Didn't count the pages, but it's about 1/4 inch thick. "Wonderfully researched detail and even some old pictures. Also a nice article from the local paper about the author and his 418 year old family bible." There's no mention of dates or locations. This isn't my Wilson line, but maybe somebody on the list will be interested. Wilson DeCamp

    3. I doubt if I could make a connection. But the given name "Mahala" always pops out at me. However, the Mahala with whom I'm most familiar is Mahala RIGGS, who married Elkanah LEWIS in 1824, most likely in VA or NC near Surry Co., NC. I don't know anything about her farther back. If there's a connection with WILSON I don't know about it. Elkanah and Mahala were my gr-gr-gr-grandparents. I have never tried to use Ebay. I'm deathly afraid of auctions of any kind! 3. Wow! What a surprise. My book finally made it onto Ebay. I put this book together the spring of 1989 for my relatives, to give them the info that I had, at that time, recently discovered about our ancestors. Never expected it would end up on Ebay, or the internet. Of course, Ebay didn't exist then, and the internet was barely getting started---certainly not the universal thing it is now. I've been signed on to the Wilson list since I first got Internet service the spring of 1996---and I still haven't found anyone that I can conclusively say is searching my line of Wilsons, ie, John and Mahala (Scott) Wilson, both born in Switzerland County, IN, in 1813, married in 1835, moved to Holt County, MO, in 1842, and to Linn County, OR, in 1851. And I still haven't found any parents or siblings for John Wilson. So if anyone out there has connections to this line, please contact me. John Wilson is my "brick wall." Oh, and I don't know anything about the old bible. That was apparently a different line, by somebody who had my book. William J.
