Hello List, Researching for African Americans with the surname WILSON who came from South Carolina to Mississippi or were born in Mississippi during the time period of 1850-1900. I am trying to find ancestors, descendants and migration pathes of these Wilson Families. I know John and Maria(h), found on the 1870 census, are one such family. Other names that I have an interested on the 1870 census is: Zachariah (Zacheriah) Amanda Malinda (Malindy) Hezekiah Lucretia Benjamin Eliza (Elizabeth?) Glasgow/Rachel Issac/Maggie George/Laura All of these may be related, or not. I sure would like to piece the John Wilson Family together.
