Hi List With the sprit of action, I thought I would post this again. I have been pursuing things in an old bible belonged to Robert WILSON's family. I found an very old book maker that says " to Nellie from Alma" is there any WILSON researcher that has an Alma in there line. This family lived in the Blue Rapids KS, Kansas City, Independence and California MO areas from 1879 through the early 1900's. Does anyone have any idea who ALMA might be. as you can tell, I am willing to follow up on any possible lead in my search for Robert's family. Robert was in the Woolen and Hosiery Manufacturing business. Members of this family are. Robert Preston WILSON b 1836 in England. Immigrated about 1840, parents still unknown. Married Calista Catherine Conant in Marion co MO 1876. widow of Charles LAN or LANE Son Frederick Robert WILSON b Aug 12 1879 in Blue Rapids KS m Pearle PICKERING Twin sons b 1882 Blue Rapids KS. names unknown both died with days of birth daughter Ellen Leona (Nellie) b Nov 1844 Independence MO, m `1st Robert SPRY, 2nd Thomas CROMWELL. Both children started school in California MO ( about 1885 to about 1895) Robert Preston died on 3 July 1903 in Topeka KS, In a letter to her mother in 1906, Calista is living in Kansas City.
