Hello list, Trying to track down information on my gggrandfather Bunting WILSON b 27/06/1858 Ossett, Yorkshire, England. Bunting's parents names were James WILSON b 16/03/1821 Ossett, Yorkshire and Ann MEGSON b 28/03/1819 England they married 25/07/1841 Yorkshire. All children were born in Ossett, Yorkshire - Ellis (F)b11/02/1844, Albert (M)b 24/12/1845 d 04/02/1896, Arthur (M)06/07/1848, Sarah (F) 23/07/1850, Ann (F)11/05/1852 d 14/12/1909, James (M)b 06/03/1854 d 09/12/1939, Mary (F)b 09/03/1856, Bunting (M), Emma (F)b 08/07/1861. Bunting arrived in Victoria, Australia in 1877 aged 18 aboard the "Hankow" and worked at the Doveton Woollen Mill in Victoria for his brother Albert. Bunting married and moved from Ballarat to Hillgrove N.S.W. Australia. Bunting and his wife Mary Jane CROWTHER had 13 children (7 died) those that lived were John Albert Carl b1879, Evaline Mary b1882, Emma Gordon b1885, Arthur Henry b1887, Gladys Naomi b1894,(my ggrandmother) Elsie b1897 Albert arrived in Australia in 1873 on the ship "Calcutta". Albert married three times, his first two wives died - one in Yorkshire before he arrived in Australia in 1873 and one in Australia during childbirth (Ada Jane) in 1874. Albert than married his first cousin Adeline WILSON in 1877. He was a wollen cloth manufacturer in Ballarat and possibly later in Geelong. They had six children, but four died in infancy.
