    1. [WILSON-L] re: Wilsons in Illinois & Ohio

    3. Hi, I am looking for information on my husbands Wilson line. His great-grandfather was supposedly named John Wilson,b: Aug 10, 1871 in Clark county, Illinois. His great-grandmother is said to have been named Alice Haddock, born around 1882. This couple came to Kansas by 1900 or so. But havent found them in Illinois information. Hoping someone out there, might have some information to share. I have been told by family members, that this line connects to a Gard family somewhere up the line(if that helps any at all). Any suggestions or leads would be appriciated. Thanks. Oh, on the discussion of DNA, I can see where it would be necessary in some cases. I come from a Harrison line, where my great-grandfather, after losing his wife to TB, and due to family disagreements between both families, he left the state, and changed his last name, to avoid arrest. If it wasnt for extended family members, telling me about this move, I would never have understood, how my grandfather, having been an only child, could have 2 half-brothers in another state. Wouldnt have known about their end of the Harrison line. And outside of the family there is no trace of the connection between this Harrison line, and a White family. Again, thanks. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? The New Yahoo! Search - Faster. Easier. Bingo. http://search.yahoo.com
