Children of Samuel Wilson: From a will dated 1833: Will bk. I, p. 250-251, Lewis Co. Va. Now WV. David; James; heirs of William Wilson; Samuel Wilson, Jr.; Elizabeth Summers; Margaret Bush; Nancy Keith; Mary Wilson; John Wilson; Jared M. Wilson; and Jane Wilson; The person I got this from thinks David and Jane are the youngest and lived to be in the 1880 census, and they indicate their parents were born in Ireland. No explanation available as to who Jane married or why she thinks these are the correct David and Jane for this line. I asked so many questions, I didn't want her to think I was asking for her to do my research. Her help in desiphering these Wilsons in search for hers a William also, is a tremendous help already. It takes alot to separate Wilsons over 4 counties Pendleton, Highland, Lewis and Upshur. Then add in Bath, Augusta and Rockingham as the mother counties. Plus the additional county lines changing back and forth. Samuel and his wife Jane moved from Bull Pasture Mountain to Lewis Co. somewhere in early 1800s a deed to land is dated 1822. My John L. Wilson shows to be born about 1819 in Lewis County. I understand from another list that Samuel Jr. was born about 1815, I havent investigated the area he was born yet. There is so much I want to look into with this additional information and of course get copies of the wills and deeds and also further my research on my individual line of John L. Wilson. William , son of Samuel and indicated in above will, died about 1829, who is the father of John L. Wilson who married Barbara H. Erwin of Highland County, Va. I don't have dates of children yet, but I will continue this search. I will then post it to the brickwall website.
