Anna If you go to www.familysearch.org the 1880 census index is availlable. There are only 4 or 5 Wilson families in Madison County. (Including a Wm born 1859, wife Lucy, dau Alma ). If you take the names of those heads of household appearing, and look for them in the 1860/1870 census, you might get lucky. Of course, they might not necessarily have lived in Madison Co for those 30 years, but you never know. Can you get a marriage certificate or bond for William?
