Obituary Published in the Houston Chronicle on 6/13/2003. Agnes Jane Clark Wilson AGNES JANE WILSON, a loving, remarkable, poised and beautiful lady passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband and children on Wednesday, June 11, 2003. Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, John Henry and Ruth Murray Clark; her sister, Ruthie Clark and her brother, John Clark. Agnes was born on May 2, 1923 in Hico, Texas and grew up in Lampasas, Texas. She attended Seton Hospital School of Nursing in Austin. Agnes met Clyde Wilson in November of 1942 while nursing his mother. Agnes and Clyde Wilson were married January 9, 1943 and were happily married for over sixty years. They made Houston their home for over fifty years. Agnes is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Wilson, and their children, Clyde A. Wilson, Jr. and his wife, Beverly Ruth Wilson Winsor; Mary Wilson Bradley and her husband, Bill; Kathryn Wilson Clinton and her husband, P.M.; Henry Wilson, Sr. and his wife, Sharon; Amy Wilson Von Blon and her husband, Michael; and Timothy Wilson, Sr. and his wife, Frieda. Agnes has 27 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren, all of whom were the pride of her life. Agnes was survived by her sister, Marie Boswell. Agnes Wilson will be greatly missed by those who knew her. Those who loved her have lost much of the love and beauty in their lives. Through her life, Agnes taught her children and grandchildren about love, honesty, manners, a love of books and above all about God. She was the example to which they have always aspired. Her pallbearers will be her grandsons Joseph Wilson, Clayton Wood, Posie Clinton IV, Henry Wilson, Jr., Aaron Wilson, Timothy Wilson, Jr., Peter Mainguy II, Nolan Mainguy and Michael Von Blon. The honorary pallbearers will be Bill Bradley, P.M. Clinton III, Michael Von Blon, Sr., Frank Adams, Jose Alfaro, Bruce Behrooz-Pourzargham, Dr. Harold Brelesford, Frank Briscoe, Arles Pearce, Dr. Issac Raijman, and Carol Vance. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Catarina Esperanza Garcia, our friend and Mother's caregiver, to VistaCare Hospice and to Shara Fryer and Barry Silverman for their kindness. We will pray the rosary at George H. Lewis Funeral Home on Bering Drive on Thursday evening at 7:30pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John Vianney on Friday, June 13, 2003 at 1:30pm. Graveside services will follow at Memorial Oaks Cemetery. Reverend Benjamin Hall will offer prayers. Monsignor Frank Rossi and Monsignor Daniel Shields will officiate.
