I know what you mean, Harold. I don't even have a full name, name of parents or county for my Wilson or Willson. Looking for: Abraham/Abram Wilson/Willson, born ca 1851-52 in unknown county, GA. No names for parents or siblings, either. Abraham/Abram could be the first name or the middle name. First found on 1870 Morgan Co, AL census. Disappeared/died in Spring of 1874; family never heard from him again. Left one son, William Martin Wilson who moved to Navarro Co, TX ca late 1890's. Wm. Martin never talked about his father to his own family so we have no knowledge of our Wilson ancestors prior to 1870. They are believed to have been in NC/SC/or TN in addition to GA.
