List or testing coordinator: I think I have found a nephew to my ggrandfather Wilson living in Monroe County, WV. Now whether he will test is another problem. I have not met him yet and I plan to do that this summer immediately!! He is 85. but has a son 53. If nothing else, I want to meet him and get pictures and data. My problem is I need a way to request this procedure without intimitating or causing fear. I have approached 2 other family members, Bozeman and Hamilton and they act like I am the FBI and trying to pin something on them. They don't write back and I hate that I have been excommunicated from the family with a family reunion coming up in September. These 2 families I just found last year and was making progress, now nothing. They both were interested in genealogy with their respected lines and we shared our lines and they understood wanting to get further back, but ingnorance, fear or getting involved put up a road block. It wasn't money because I explained the cost and that the cost while wasn't exorbiant, it was costly and I would pay. I thought expressing the cost would indicate that this was important to me enough to shell out between 100-200 dollars on a remote chance to determine our families origin. I printed and mailed them the family-tree DNA documentation that explained in detail the process and confidentiality. I also would like to know if a test can be requested and paid for when testing is done. At this point I don't feel lucky enough that he will agree and I hate to pay a price with no test. But if I have the test when we meet, we can do and send it in. Communicating it by mail only means it may get done or may get set aside. If that is possible, then please do what ever it takes to get me on the wilson Dna testing. I think I have to have a special invitation or something to get the reduced group price. I also have found a line in Maryland that may get me another generation back, but again I have not contacted them about this and a letter I mailed 2 years ago was not responded to. I have a telephone number now! That means 2 test kits. Pat Killian

Have you really been excommunicated from a family reunion? These people act like they have something to hide--or think they do. It's really sad!
