Hard for some people to understand and/or accept modern technology. colleen ----- Original Message ----- From: <pkcb113@bellsouth.net> To: <WILSON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, June 16, 2003 9:26 PM Subject: Re: Re: [WILSON-L] Genetic Testing > I wouldn't say excommunicated from the family reunion exactly, but I am not sure how I will be treated when I go to it. I can imagine them hiding their cups so I can't get a fingerprint or turning their back to me. I guess CSI and Police Television shows really made an impression. I thought perhaps they maybe hiding something too, but one lady told me about a family member in prison for bootlegging whiskey in 1930's and she raised her brother's twin boys, because he wouldn't and the wife wouldn't. Stuff happens in all families and if I wanted dirt, I'd go about it differently. I knew about the guy in prison I just didn't know what he was in for. I just can't get any further back without genetics. > > Pat > > > > > > From: "Anne Haines" <annerhai@adelphia.net> > > Date: 2003/06/16 Mon PM 04:12:14 EDT > > To: WILSON-L@rootsweb.com > > Subject: Re: Re: [WILSON-L] Genetic Testing > > > > Have you really been excommunicated from a family reunion? I know plenty of folks who don't let their children be photographed by anyone but them, who only pay with cash, and who refuse to be fingerprinted. Then there are the folks who don't want the skeletons to come out of the closet. Sandy SDG
