    1. Re: [WILSON-L] 1900 MS Census Index
    2. Thanks, Sandra! According to the 1920 census, it looks like Clara's brothers were William D Wilson and John H Wilson. Clara and her husband, (E) Jones Dean were living between them. Cherry

    3. The Index I have access to for 1900 MS is by head of household only. I can't find Clara Wilson without knowing her parents names, and that's the piece you don't have. I noticed on the 1920 Clara said she was 35 and on the 1910 she was 25 making her born in 1885. I would say William D. was born 1884 and John 1886. There is no 1890 census which leaves a big gap. I did find a Edward J. Wilson, age 38, in 1900 Amite MS with a wife and several children. He was married 18 years. On the 1920 Franklin Co., E. Jones Wilson says he is 59. I don't know if this is the same man. I looked at several images of Wilsons in 1900 Franklin but don't find Clara, Wm D., and John in a family. You might want to send this same query to [email protected] There are volunteers who do census lookups. Another volunteer may have a different index than I. To subscribe, send a blank email to [email protected], put the word subscribe in the subject line and also the word subscribe in the body. You will receive a welcome email, then you can send in your query. FYI, each state has its own census lookup list, so just change the MS to another state's abbreviation. Good Luck, and I'm sorry I can't find your family, Sandra Van wyk <<snip>> Does anyone have access to the 1900 Mississippi Census Index? I have been trying to find my great grandmother's (Clara Wilson) parents. She was born in 1881 so that would make her about 19 years old. I have found her in Franklin County in 1910, apparently living next to her brothers. I also found her in the same county in 1920. I have no idea who her parents were and it's driving me crazy! Any help would greatly be appreciated!
