    3. Thank you, Cherry.I'm too new to the WILSONs to know if there is a connection, but there very well may be. I looked at the 1900 census in Winn parish, LA and think I have found my answer to my Mary E. WILSON TARVER question. This is what I found on Ancestry.com: I believe Mary's parents were John Croford WILSON and Mary Elizabeth TESTON, who were married 5 Feb 1835, Amite Co., MS. Their children were: 1. Joseph Abraham Wilson 2. William Wilson *3. Mary E Wilson 4. Martha Elizabeth Wilson 5. Arak Elbert Wilson 6. Malissa Ann Wilson 7. Sarah Jane Wilson 8. Rachel M Wilson 9. John C Wilson *10. Sidney Scott Wilson Mary E. WILSON lived in Amite co., MS and married John WHITE 17 Sep 1861. Mary married Thomas Ira TARVER a few years later, 9 Oct 1865 in Amite co., MS. On Thomas & Mary's marriage certificate it said her name as "Mrs. Mary E. WHITE". Thomas and Mary Tarver had 8 children: Mary J., Sarah Jane, Martha E., Charlie A., Leathey Ann, Ida Elizabeth, Billy (died young), and Jarvis Ira. In the Winn Parish, LA 1900 census (Ward 2, E.D. 114, p.235b) I found Thomas I. & Mary E. TARVER and children living next door to Daniel and Sarah J. TARVER PARKER. Sarah was Thomas and Mary's daughter. There was a Sidney S. WILSON living next door to Daniel and Sarah, with wife and children. I believe this to be Sidney Scott WILSON and wife Elizabeth. Their children were listed: *Crawford age 16 **Lula M. age 13 Zula M. age 10 Sidney age 9 Joseph A. age 5 *I have pictures of Ira TARVER and Crawford WILSON. I believe they were Jarvis Ira Tarver, age 16 in 1900, and his first cousin Crawford WILSON (Lula's brother) also age 16 in 1900. **I believe this Lula later married Jessie Monroe INGRAM. He was Leathey Ann Tarver INGRAM's brother-in-law. Leathey Ann TARVER had married Jessie's brother John Thaddius INGRAM. I don't know for sure if Mary E. TARVER is the same as the Mary E. WILSON, dau. of John and Elizabeth WILSON. But I am pretty sure I'm on the right track. And I'm pretty certain Sidney Scott WILSON is my Mary E. WILSON WHITE TARVER's brother. Sorry if I confused you all! There seems to be multiple connections between the WILSONs and my TARVER and INGRAM families. If anyone is a part of this WILSON family then I'm pretty sure we're related. I have pictures and info on the TARVER (including Mary E. WILSON TARVER) and INGRAM families if interested. Would love to know more about this WILSON family. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts on this. Thank you, Holly,CA Holly, Don't know if this helps but my great grandmother, Clara Wilson Dean, was also from MS and settled in Franklin Parish, LA. She lived from 1881-1977. Not sure if and how they would be related. I haven't done much research on my Wilson line yet. I have found her in the 1910 & 1920 censuses in Franklin County, MS. Not sure how far that is from Amite County. Cherry in KC --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail - 250MB free storage. Do more. Manage less.
