Mary Ann, Jerry Wilson is still in his father’s home in Lebanon, Dekalb Co, AL for the 1860 census. He is the only male Wilson still there except for my great-gfather Abraham/Abram/Abe Wilson who was about 8; census has wrong age for Abe. The only other male Wilson(s) born to my gg gfather William are Benjamin W. E. Wilson and James and they are not in home by 1860. Can’t find either of them after 1850. Abraham also disappears after 1870 and has remained a mystery to my whole family. He disappears just before my grandfather, William Martin Wilson, is born. Disappeared from Morgan Co AL. Thanks for taking an interest. I’ll just have to keep on keeping on???? I suggest searching Texas, California or anywhere out west. the gold rush and free land spurred people on to leave and some came back. Not to mention the War Between the States, men just wanted to get away, especially those who fought against family, brother against brother or opposing neighbors.
