Need information on the following: Rev James Wilson was in Roanoke, NC, in late 1797, with his wife and daughter. This information from a letter written, Oct. 1797, to James by his brother, Lt. Robert Wilson, who was in the British Navy. Robert was in Portsmouth, Great Britian, on sick leave, when he wrote the letter. Robert had a sister that he mentioned in the letter. I am also looking for Susan M Wilson, b. abt 1785, and believe she is either the daughter or sister referred to in the letter. Susan married Joseph Whedbee/Whedby/Whidby about 1800 to 1818. Their children (that I know about) were James (died abt age 16 in Jones Co, GA); Mary Jane b. abt 1819, TN or GA, d in Al, m Marcus Heath in Mareitte, GA; Eliza Ansley b abt 1818, TN, d. in GA, never married; Julia, b ?, d in GA, married a Mr. Fraser.
