I know you weren't talking to me but I have a Jacob Wilson b. PA but in 1774. I am trying to find PA information on his family. Father was most likely William b. 1745 with wife Jane I believe. Children were William R. Wilson b. 1765 (may have been Silas that may have died at Brandywine) Then John b. 1772 and Jacob 1774. The boys did not stay there. They all ended up in Loudoun Co. Va. Janean I think we talked once before and could not connect. I was wondering if you knew anything about your Jacob b 1774. He could be the father of my Jacob. Hi Janean, I had seen some information posted by another person that spoke of the Chalfant and Wilson families. It stated from a manuscript "Memorandum Record of the Chalfant Family of America with Notes on the Chalfants of England" prepared in December 1938 by William Bergen Chalfant. It states that Samuel Parker Chalfant married Margaret Matilda Wilson - who was the eldest of 10 children born to Smith Wilson and Jane Latta Corbett who were married near New Town in Virginia by Rev. Le Grand, Presbyterian minister whose daughter acted as bridesmaid. Jane Corbett's mother is said to have been a Latta. Smith Wilson was one of a family of seven brothers born in Letterkenny, County Antrim Ireland, of whom was no less than six when emigrated to America in 1805. The family were of the artisan class, Smith himself being a weaver, others hatters and so on, the brother that remained in Ireland became a Doctor.
