    1. Basil/Bazil H. Wilson-KY, TN, MS
    2. Looking for futher information on the family of Bazil Holland Wilson. I find him listed in 1840, 1850, and 1860 in Choctaw Co MS. He appears to have had at least 9 children with his wife Sabra. I find living with him in 1850 in Choctaw Co MS a William age 20 b. KY, Charles age 19 b. TN, James age 17 b. KY, Daniel age 13 b. TN, John age 10 b. MS, Benjaman age 7 b. MS and Adaline age 21 b. KY. Some female children listed with Basil in 1840 are missing. Charles, James, Daniel, Benjamin and Bazil are listed in Choctaw Co MS in 1860. After that census I can only track Charles H. Wilson. He is still in Choctaw Co MS in 1870 but by 1880 he has moved his family to Cass co. TX. They are still living there by 1900. Daniel moves to Van Buren Co AR and I find him there in 1880. Where Daniel was for 1870 I don't know. The last listing I have for Daniel is a 1883 tax record for Van Buren Co AR. I lose him after that. His brother James may have moved to Arkansas as well. I do find a James Wilson listed in Searcy Co AR, in Wiley's Cove. The age and birthplace match for the James I'm seeking but so far no real proof to link him to Daniel Wilson or the others. Can anyone fill in what may have happened to William, Daniel P., James P., John and Benjaman? Kathy

    2. James Wilson
    3. I also have Wilson's in Choctaw Co Ms.in the same time frame, my 2nd ggrandfather and his brother John Jackson Wilson. Did your Basil have any brothers, I have wondered if Basil might be a brother to Giles,I think it could be possible since Giles served with a Basil Wilson in the Mexican War 1848-1849 out of Choctaw Ms.Then he and John moved to Louisiana after the 1850's and to Texas after the 1880;s. There was also a Daniel P. Wilson that was usually close by and about the same age all born around 1820-1825 Kentucky. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 09, 2005 10:37 PM Subject: [WILSON-L] Basil/Bazil H.
