Larry, I've seen FAG contributors banned for intentional duplicates. If you request a transfer for a relative that is in your direct line and within 4 generations, the memorial manager should transfer it to you. If they won't, forward a copy of your request to edit@findagrave.com an the will transfer it. Before using FAG it is recommended that you read and understand the FAQ's/rules Dennis ________________________________ From: "LWilson181@aol.com" <LWilson181@aol.com> To: mrbil1@juno.com Cc: wilson@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, February 22, 2014 9:20 PM Subject: [WILSON] Linking Memorials in FAG Bill I agree that someone cannot link to a memorial posted by someone else. I have been successful at identifying and making contact with the person who created it originally. They can make the link with the memorial number that you provide. I have not experienced a turn-down by anyone. I did find one created by another who never responded to my messages. In that case, I simply created a new, duplicate memorial for the same ancestor and did the linkages myself. This has only happened once in all the connections that I have made.
