Hello The subject of this request is a house.Called Butlersbury. Since it can't post this I am going to try. The house in question is a house outside of Fonda NY. The house was built around 1762. The date and location according to state records makes it the oldest house built west of Albany at the time. The house was first owned by Walter Butler. He was a British army officer. Between 1762 and 1834 the house was owned by several well documented owners. In 1834 Henry Wilson bought the house and land. And so began a Wilson family ownership that lasted until 1954 when Harvey Wilson and last Wilson to occupy the house sold it in 1954. The houses beginnings gave it a history surrounding the American Revolution and Indian fighting before that. So the goal of this post would be to find any Wilson family researchers whose own history would intersect with the Wilson family ownership of the house.
