Need help IDing the Rev William WILSON below that was of the Tinkling Springs or North Presby Churches in late 1700s. Our below dates or mine must be in error?? Also wife needed. Other Wilsons in the area came as Quakers from Chester County, Pennsylvania, late 1700s and were there into the early to mid 1800s. Those who left seem to have gone to Indiana. My brother has DNA matches who went up that way, some still live in Indiana. One match had ancestry in Danville, VA. prior to the Civil War. Danville is in Pittsylvania County, so there is a strong likelihood that he would have been a son or grandson of William Wilson. Would be glad to share info with you. What is your Wilson connection? I have a William Wilson born ca 1802 SC. Married an unknown Sarah, born ca 1808 SC. Had several children born in SC and in GA. This family was in West Amunchee, Walker Co GA for the 1850 census and in DeKalb Co, AL for the 1860 census. WILLIAM and SARAH'S CHILDREN: Benjamin W. E. Wilson (ca 1829 SC); Mary M. (ca 1837 SC); Abbey L. (ca 1838 SC); Martha A. (ca1839 SC); James (ca 1841 SC); Susy/Suzy C. (ca 1843 GA); Jerry M (ca 1845 GA) ; Minerva/Manerva J. (ca 1847 GA); Sarah E. (ca 1849 GA); and Abraham/Abram (ca 1851-1852 GA or AL). Believe some in this family later had ties to Morgan & Jackson Counties of AL & may possibly have had some kind of earlier tie to the state of TN.
