This is more to tell you not to waste much time on the Coos and Curry Co. OR. Wilsons - James Webb Wilson and his sons: Jefferson Davis , Jackson, and Wade Wilson, as James Webb was the son of John Wilson and was probably born in Hope, Arkansas and seem to have come to southern Oregon via California in late 1800s. I know next to nothing on this families surname. I don't know where the Wison surname originates or how many of this surname were located anywhere near my families location in or around 1850. What I do have is a possible marriage of a George Wilson to Phebe Halleck in Ray County, Missiouri on 5 September 1850. Phebe is listed in the 1850 census as the eldest daughter in her family. Later that year the remaining members of this family completed their journey as promised to Nahum and Sarepta (Norton) Halleck by his daughter Lucretia King Halleck where they settled on Donation Land Claims in King's Valley, Benton Oregon. I am putting all that I know of the early history in the faint chance that it might strike a match to someone else's history of the new Mrs. George Wilson's parents and siblings travel to the Oregon Territory leaving this daughter in the Central Mid-West to start her own family. After the marriage in 1850 we do not know where or when George and Phebe (Halleck) Wilson might have settled if they moved on. ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to WILSON-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
