Wow, I'm excited that I have connected with the only "unknown" branch of my Wilsons - after 20 years of searching !!! I got an email from a 2004 posting to one the many mailing lists and websites to which I post. It turns out that just that week they were discussing how sad it was that they had lost touch with their "east coast" cousins. So, now my search turns to the past and trying to locate other branches from Tartaraghan parish in Armagh. Here's what I know: James Wilson (1771-1837) >> David Wilson (1805-1882) + Sarah Devine (1830-1904) >>>> William Wilson (1866-1949) >>>> Mary Wilson + Farrell (this branch is still "lost") >>>> Robert Wilson (1871-1911) >>>> Moses Wilson 1876-1965) David died in Tartaraghan, which resulted in Sarah being evicted from the farm, so she emigrated to London, Ontario ca 1885 with her 4 children. William & Robert had no children, my line is Moses and I've contacted ALL cousins in this line. Only Mary (Wilson) Farrell's line is still unknown. Mary Wilson is in the Canada census (1901) living at home. Her mother's obituary in 1904 states "a daughter Mrs Farrell of Springfield, Massachusetts". I don't know anything else about Mary, except a vague family rumour that the Farrells moved back to UK and settled on the Isle of Man (seems odd, but that's the rumour). I haven't found any trace in the 1910 US census - not knowing her husband's name is causing me problems.
