Through various records such as birth, death, marriage, land and census, along with wills, obituaries, and military draft registrations, we have been able to trace our Wilson line as follows: James Wilson b. 1700 Pittsylvania County, Virginia, d. 1777 Henry County, VA (Henry was created out of Pittsylvania, so it is likely that he lived in the same location, just the name of the county changed) Thomas Wilson b. 1735 Henry County, VA, d. 1817, Henry County. Thomas Wilson b. 1740 Henry County, VA d. 1829, Russell County, KY James Wilson b. 1876 Henry County, VA d. 1873 Warrick County, IN (moved from Russell County, KY about 1842) Aaron Wilson Sr. b. 1827 Russell County, KY d. 1896, Boonville (Warrick County), IN Aaron Wilson Jr. b. 1886 Boonville, IN d. 1909,Evansville, IN Aaron C. Wilson b. 1905 Boonville, IN d. 1971,Evansville, IN Robert Wilson b. 1931, Evansville, IN However, we can find no primary sources past James Wilson in 1700 Virginia. Does anybody have information about this line of Wilson's, or about the father of James? We have found many undocumented secondary sources for his father, but nothing substantial.
