Hi Janice, I can't help with the Burgess question. Are you talking about the same John Burgess Wilson whose son is Lt. Col. George Wilson? The reason I ask is that Lt. Col. George Wison lived in Romney, WV(then VA). He and his son Capt. John Wilson served in the PA 8th Regiment in the Revolutionary War. My 4th GGrandparent served under these two. His name John Guthrie, whose daughter Lydia Guthrie married William Done Peters. William's sister was Sarah SACKETT Peters. So, I was curious where you think the Sackett name came from? There are "B"'s in a lot of the PETERS names ==> BIRD and BOLIVAR. The BIRD name is from Augusta/Shenandoah, VA area...don't know about the BOLIVAR (seems there was a Spanish Abolitionist BOLIVAR who freed slaves in Mexico/South America).
