Following a weekend of on-site research in Perry Co., OH, I have succeeded in filling out my gggf's family. Please respond if any of the following seem to connect with your Wilson family. John Wilson, born in Ireland before 1775, married Jane (last name unknown), probably in Washington Co., PA, before 1789. They moved to Madison Twp., Perry Co., OH, about 1811, where John died in 1823 and Jane on 11/3/1833. Their children are as follows: 1. Elisabeth, b. 1790-1794, m. John Tadford, Washington Co., PA, widowed by 1820 with one daughter, Eliza Jane. Later she lived in Van Buren Twp., Darke Co., OH (1840), and then in Sterling, Whiteside Co., IL, with her son-in-law, C. C. Alexander. 2. Mary, b. 2/16/1794, d. 12/17/1871, m. James Baird, widowed 1839 with four children (James Harvey, Samuel, Jane and Elizabeth); lived in Sterling, Whiteside Co., IL, until her death. She is buried next to her brother, Robert (see below). 3. James, b. bef. 1802, m. Elizabeth, in Perry Co. census, 1830, with three sons and a daughter. The family does not appear in Perry Co. in 1840. Land records suggest that he owned land in the section adjacent to his father. 4. John, b. bef. 1802, m. Esther; no further information. 5. Samuel, b. bef. 1802, in Clark Co., OH in 1833; sold property to James Baird (above) in 1838; possibly in Madison Twp. or New Carlisle Twp., Clark Co., in 1840; no later record. 6. Sara Wilson, probably b. bef. 1802; no record later than mention in her father's will, dated 1823. 7. Robert L. Wilson (my gggf), b. 9/11/1805, Washington Co., PA, d. 3/7/1880, Sterling, Whiteside Co., IL; m. Eliza J. Kincaid, six children (Mary, Silas, Ann, Emma, Robert H., Lee). Colleague of Lincoln in IL legislature, one of "Long Nine" who moved the state capital to Springfield. 8. William Wilson, b. bef. 1805, m. Mary. Probably one of two William Wilson's in Hopewell Twp., Perry Co., in 1830; cannot be located in Perry Co. in 1850. 9. Agnes Wilson, prob. b. bef. 1802, m. William Baird; no information beyond in Miami Co., OH, according to 1833 deed. 10. Joseph Wilson, prob. b. bef. 1802, in Harrison Co., OH in 1833; no later information. Wilson DeCamp Vienna, VA

I don't know of any of my Wilsons going to America and as I haven't got back before 1841 in Ireland, none of them connect at present. I seen this and just thought I'd try again to see if any of you know my Wilson people....ok..Here goes..... Henry Wilson b-1782, was in Washington Co. PA. and was from what I've been told a Quaker. He married out of the church to a Isabell McGarr b-1790 married about 1812 maybe in PA or Ohio. Had a daughter named Hannah Wilson b-1813, who married 11-11-1830, John Givens in Belmont Co. Ohio. Can any of you help me on these people?
