hi, when I see the Preston name wih Wilson, it makes me perk up. Then I remember the Preston name came through my grandmother's BARNHILL side, not the WILSON side she marred into. Janice, I have Barnhill's in my line also. They come thru my Estes line or my dad paternal side. My Wilson's are on my dad's material side. My Barnhill ancestor was Margaret "Peggy" Barnhill. She was the daughter of Alexander Barnhill of South Carolina. Margaret married Gallant Estes and they settled in Tennessee. After Gallant died in the Creek Indian Wars on 1812 Margaret remarried to Joel Mears in 1835. Are you related to this branch of Barnhill's?
