Just in case anyone knows these people from Jefferson Co. George W. Wilson The body of George W. Wilson 60, a former Jefferson Co. resident was found shot through the head at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the rear of a home where he was a border on RFD 3, Creal Springs, ILL. He had apparently committed suicide, according to Sheriff Lawrence Cannon and Deputy Virgil Yewell. Mr. Wilson had been ill since last August and had only recently returned from the Soldier's Home at Quincy. He was a veteran of WWI. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:30 a.m. at Myers Chapel in Mt. Vernon. The Rev. Marsh Harpole will officiate and burial will be in the South Hickory Hill cemetery. The services will be in charge of the V.F.W. The body will remain at Myers Chapel, where friends may call after 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. Mr. Wilson was born February 26, 1890 in Jefferson Co, the son of John and Evaline (Darnell) Wilson. He was a farmer. Surviving are a brother, Norval Wilson, and a sister Mr.s Allie Phelps of Mt. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. tomorrow at South Hickory Hill Church, with the Rev. Ace Summers officiating, and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state at the family home where friends may call after 3:00 p.m. today. Mr. Wilson was born April 26, 1906 in McClellan township, the son of Homer and Effie Wicks Wilson. In 1929 in Benton he married Velma Beckman who survives. Other survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Imogene Pilson of Bonnie, Mrs. Mildred Russell of Bluford, Wanda, Judy, Janice, and Verla Wilson all at home; five sons, Herman Wilson Jr. of Nason, Clyde Wilson of Mt. Vernon, Everett Wilson of Berwyn, ILL, David and Kenneth at home; a sister Mrs. Lela Hester of Bonnie; six brothers, Raymond Wilson of Belle River, Elisha, Melvin, Homer A,.
