    3. Jane, Do you have access to Ancestry.com? There are several John Edward and Edward John McCormack's listed there. Tell me when he was born and I'll see if I can match one up for you. Do you have a maiden name for Gleeson or where she was born? Indiana or New York? When? 3. Hello Dee, I would appreciate anything you can find and thanks for your interest. I use Anccestry occasionally, not a member and Yes, there are several John Edward McCormack's. This is kind of a summary to show you where I am in my searching. JOHN EDWARD McCORMA(I)CK & JOHANNA GLEA(E)SON McCORMACK He is my gggrandfather and went by Edward, born in Ireland 1828, came to the US around 1852. 1856... married Johanna Glea(e)son, possibly in Canada on 6/24/1856. Johanna also born in Ireland, b.1838(?) 1857...Had a son, Michael (b.4/22/1857) in Toronto, Canada. (This is my line) 1859...had a son Andrew in Canada 1860...in Oakland,Yalobusha Miss with Julia(Johanna) Mike & Andrew 1861...Andrew died 1862...joined Union Army @ Knoxville until 1865..patroled RR in Nashville. Have all military papers. 1863... Mary, was born 11/14/1863 and died 2/1/1864, lived 2 1/2 months. 1865... Daughter, Hanna(Johanna) was born & died 1947. 1867... (Feb) 1st wife Johanna died in (Waverly) Johnsonville Tn., probably in childbirth because there was a daughter, Sarah, which died. 1867...(May 24) Married 2nd wife, Ferby(Pharaby,Feraby??)WILSON.born 1838(?) NC Not previously married. No children. Married Edward in Benton Co,Tn 1870...Found in Verona, Ky where his brother(?) Nicholas had a farm and also married to a Johanna w/11 chr 1880...Still in Verona 1890 ? 1900....in Glenmore, Ware County, Georgia died in1902 Found a Edward McCormack age 25 on Suffolk Co, Mass census He mostly worked as a laborer on the Railroad. on the 1880 Ky census says his occupation was a druggest. I think his father was James and on the Apothecaries Hall list a James, Cork County Ireland 1826. Have not found any ship passage for Edward but I have found two possible ship passages on a Johanna gleeson. The ship "Jane" 1850 had a Matthew(40), Thomas(18), Lawrence(15), Johanna(12), John(6), which would make her b.1838. Have not found anything on Feraby Wilson, which is really not important because that were no children to this union, just curious. My search is to be able to trace Johannah Gleeson & John Edward McCormack back to Ireland and their place of birth, which I have not been able to find anything definate. Thanks for any help. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dee's Genealogy" <dees.genealogy@gmail.com> To: <wilson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, January 21, 2012 6:41 PM Subject: [WILSON] Wilson/McCormack > Jane, > > Do you have access to Ancestry.com?
