I'm looking for the possible siblings and parents of Benjamin Franklin WIL(L)SON (I've seen the name spelled both ways). He was born in April 1840 in Alabama. Census records state that his father was possibly born in Tennessee. The last time I have any record of him was when the family lived in Guyman, Oklahoma (in the panhandle). He married Mary A HOWELL (b March 1849 in Mississippi) in 1847 in Mississippi. What's interesting is that this particular WILSON family intermarried with the PATE and GUY families, especially on their way to Arkansas and then down into Texas. They had 9 children: 1 Virgil Buchanan Wilson: b. May 30, 1876 in Mississippi; d. July 3, 1925 Trumbel, Ellis County, Texas (died from colon cancer) + Ellena Nevada Anderson: b April 6, 1880 in Rock Creek, Pike County, Arkansas; d. March 23, 1890 in Groesbeck, Limestone County, Texas + Sarah Emma Pate: b. August 1879 in Arkansas; 4 Modena Wilson: b. ca 1880 in Mississippi; d. in Liberal, Seward County, Kansas + Thomas G. Pate: b. October 1879 in Alabama; d. in Liberal Seward County, Kansas 5 Benjamin Wilson: b. December 1880 in Mississippi + Jennie: b. ca 1885 in Arkansas 6 Carl Wilson: b. December 1889 in Mississippi; d. ca 1915 + Beatrice Driskell: b. ca 1889 in Illinois 9 Emmett Wilson I haven't done any DNA because I didn't know if we had any male Wilson descendants. Just recently we did find one, so my mom, who recently got into contact with family she hadn't talked to in years will be asking. Hopefully we can find out where these Wil(l)sons came from.
