I see alot of emails about Wilson family.   Anyone matches mine????   I have Lewis Wilson (Full Blood Choctaw, Okla Hannali clan) who is the signer of Dancing Rabbit Creek Treaty.   His children: Charles (Chas. or Charley) and Mary. His wife, Lizzie.   They moved from Mississippi to Oklahoma.   Am searching for info on Lizzie and Lewis.... Thanks

I'm enjoying reading all of the Wilson posts. While I haven't yet found a direct Wilson ancestor, the Wilson's have joined my family in at least three times and places: 1. John Wilson, born around 1775 and died 1840 in Belmont, Ohio, married my gggg gm Nancy, who had been married to Abraham Shepherd and was widowed. 2. Thomas Wilson, b. 23 Mar 1877 in New Cumberland, West Virginia and d. 26 Aug 1940 in Toronto, Jefferson, Ohio. He married Edna P. Blakely, daughter of Josephine Blakely, who is my gg gf Silas Blakely's half-sister. 3. William Wilson, b. 14 Oct 1811 in Cherokee Nation, Oklahoma, d. 30 Jun 1897 in Muldrow, Cherokee, Oklahoma. According to James Hick's Cherokee Lineages, he is 1/4 Cherokee. He is my brother-in-law's gg gf. Since some of you mentioned TN and OK, I hoped some of this line might be familiar. Based on others' research and trees at ancestry, William's parents are: George Wilson (b. 1787 TN, d. 22 Aug 1850 Saline, Alfalfa, Oklahoma) and Ruth Drumgool Springston (b. 1790 Cherokee Nation, TN, d. 7 Dec 1850 Oklahoma). George's parents are: Greenberry Wilson (b. 1766 Somerset, PA; d. 1855) and Sallie (1765-1850) Greenberry's parents are: James Wilson (b. 14 Sep 1742 Carskerdo, St. Andrews, Scotland; d. 1798 [I have]Edenton, Nc, Buried Christ Church, Philadelphia) and Rachel Bird (b. 1750 Douglassville, Berks, PA; d. 14 Apr 1786 Philadelphia) James' parents are: William Wilson (b. 1703 Caskerdy, St. Andrew, Fife, Scotland; d. 1765 Scotland) and Alison Landals (b. 1707 Caskerdo, St. Andrews, Scotland; d. 1790 Scotland) >From "Cherokee Lineages" I have: William married Malinda Wharton and had Emily Walker (1837-1920) William (1843-) then married Mary Ann Sanders and had Rory McCoy (1868-) Finney Chisholm (1870-1941) then married Eliza Da-gi A-du-yv-s-gi and had Eliza (1875-) If these are your ancestors and relatives, and you have anything to share, or corrections to make, I'd appreciate it.
