Someone has to be connected to us somehow. Whether you like it or not. It's true we have some murderers, drunks, adulterers, aslyum inhabitants ...and even a deserter. Who doesn't? I am hoping to discover Seth or Louisa's parents. Seth Homer & Louisa's children married into..Kelley, Purvis/Pervis, Hattaway, Walker, Kitchens, Neal, Newsome and Jordan families. Susan, I know how you feel. While I've gotten a few bites on my William Wilson/Willson, born ca 1801 SC and his wife, Sarah born ca 1810 SC, I've not been able to find any descendants for most of his 10 children. So far, I THINK I've found 4 of them but have no real documentation. That leaves me with only guesses and hope. You would think that there surely would be someone living among us today that could claim a kinship. NAMES OF WILLIAM'S CHILDREN: Benjamin W. E. Wilson (ca 1829 SC); Mary M. (ca 1837 SC); Abbey L. (ca 1838 SC); Martha A. (ca1839 SC); James (ca 1841 SC); Susy/Suzy C. (ca 1843 GA); Jerry M (ca 1845 GA) ; Minerva/Manerva J. (ca 1847 GA); Sarah E. (ca 1849 GA); and Abraham/Abram (ca 1851-1852 GA). They were in Walker Co GA by 1850 and DeKalb Co AL in 1860. Also had association with Madison County and Morgan Co AL, possibly Jefferson Co OK, and areas of East Tx in later years. Sure hope you have better luck than I've had. Susan, I just have to laugh when you run down your laundry list of bad guys in your Wilson Family. Yes, we all seem to have them. One of my guys even tried to burn his neighbors barn down and died in prison because of it. Asylum? Yup, that too. Even have one who used a shotgun to end his life, poor guy. Sad to say, I can't see where my Wilson's tie into yours, but keep looking. You never know when a tidbit will show up that starts a new line of research. Also, go back over those records that you haven't looked at in a long time. Sometimes you pick up a piece of info that wasn't important then, but in light of the additional info you have now, becomes important.
