Hi Linda Wilson, My Earliest Known Ancester is Joseph Wilson d. 1810 Burke Co., North Carolina. He married Mary (unknown) Wilson. They were both born about 1765 in unknown place. They had three known children Joseph L. Wilson born 1808 Burke Co., NC., Mary J. born unknown and died unknown and Sarah R. born unknown and died unknown. The two girls were probably born in North carolina but not proven. I have tons of info on Joseph L. and his decendents, my directline. Our Y-Chrome DNA is R1b1c7 which is "Northwest Irish". I would love to hear from related persons. Our Wilson DNA is R1b1b2 Hap. Group with matches from Nt. Ireland (Ulster, maybe), the ARDS peninsula project. My earlest known ancestor is James Wilson b. in VA, 1767 and m. Sarah Mounts in Bath Co. VA in 1795. They lived and raised 13 kids in what became Wayne Co. WVA. Would love to find matches!! -----Original Message----- From: Robert Wilson <reodiat@sbcglobal.net> To: wilson <wilson@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thu, Mar 15, 2012 10:07 pm Subject: Re: [WILSON] William Wilson and son John Franklin Wilson 1771-1 Hi Linda Wilson, My Earliest Known Ancester is Joseph Wilson d. 1810 Burke Co., North Carolina. I found the family for John Franklin Wilson and Elizabeth Friend. Elizabeth was the daughter of Joseph H. Friend, Sr. and Rachel Rose Friend. I still can't name John Franklin Wilson's parents. Elizabeth married John "Paddy" Wilson. According to my records, Elizabeth died in Green County, Kentucky, which explains why I couldn't find her grave in the same cemetery as John Franklin Wilson. I am not directly related to the Wilson line. The research is being done due to the Wilson connections to the Friend line. Thanks to all who replied.
