My great great grandparents were Seth Wade, Sr., b. Nov. 14, 1811 Russell Co., KY, died Jan 25, 1862 Russell Co., KY and Elizabeth (also known as Zantippie/Antippie) Wilson. She was born Oct. 30, 1811 Russell Co., KY and died Apr 21, 1876 Russell Co., KY. I am trying to determine the parents of Elizabeth Wilson. I'm pretty sure her father's name was Moses Wilson, probably born abt. 1788 Henry Co., VA & died abt. 1851 Russell Co., KY. What I don't know is her mother's name. Names have been thrown around like, Elizabeth Hopper and Peggy Milton but I'm just not sure. Elizabeth Hopper would be my guess because of the age (she was born 1781) so would have been about 32 when Elizabeth was born. Peggy Milton just does not fit because I have her birth as 1762 and she would have been 49 years old. Not impossible I guess but highly unlikely, in my estimation. Surely there is someone out there that ties in with this family. I have some errors in my Wilson file and I want to make sure I'm correct, before trying to correct them. Betty: I have some histories here on the Wilson family that were given to me 7 or 8 years ago by an older fellow whose name was Hudson. I forget his first name but I imagine he may have passed on by now. The history he gave me was put together by William Surber Wilson who died in 1981. Have you seen his book? If not I can tell you what he says for Moses Wilson b. 1788 and his uncle also named Moses Wilson b. 1742. Hi Jan, Yes I have Serber Wilson's book but there are a lot of errors in it, that I have found. Moses Wilson is #13 in his book but it's never been determined who his wife is.
