Came across an old post on the WALKER COUNTY GA Genweb site. On this page was a Sept 8, 1998 post from PAT BOGER looking for information on her mother’s Wilson family. Listed was Julian A “July” Wilson, born ca 1810 SC; had 9 children born Walker Co GA. Nathan J C Wilson, born 1847 who married Sarah Hobbs William W Wilson born ca 1871, Cedartown, Chattooga Co, GA; married Virgie Howell/Pullen I have my Wilson line in Walker Co ca 1840-1850’s and with Chattooga Co 1860. My William Wilson was born ca 1800-1804 somewhere in South Carolina. Appears to have moved to Ga by 1840. Would like to contact Pat BOGER to compare info. If anyone can help me get in contact with her, I would be very grateful. Paula Sent from my iPad PAULA DUNKLIN

A Jerry M Wilson is shown living in William Wilson’s household on the 1850 West Amunchee, Walker Co, GA census along with other siblings. Shows him born ca 1845 GA. Some older siblings shown born 1829 thru 1841 in South Carolina; unknown SC County. My question is.....if Jerry is a nickname, what legal name could “Jerry” represent? Maybe, Jerral , Jerome , Jerrard, etc? His father was William, born ca 1801 SC; unknown County. Firstborn child was Benjamin W E Wilson, born 1829 SC. Sarah is shown as William’s wife but it is thought she might be a 2nd wife, born ca 1815 SC. My direct connection is to William and Sarah’s last child, Abraham (Martin?) Wilson, born ca 1851-1852 GA. The name Martin has been used for others in my family line. I have the forward timeline for Abraham/Abram Wilson starting in 1870 where he living in Morgan Co Alabama but I have nothing on this Wilson family before 1850. All opinions welcome. I'm looking for any information on a John Wilson family who moved from Bucks County PA to Franconia Township, Montgomery County PA around 1752. Has anyone done any Y-DNA testing of Wilson families in Bucks and/or Montgomery Counties? The patriarch of my particular family is John Wilson, who died 1799 in Franconia Township, Montgomery, Pa and his wife was Ann Skelton, daughter of John & Jane Fairlamb Skelton, who died in 1803 Franconia. John and Ann Skelton Wilson had 8 children: 1) Henry Wilson married Alice Heacock (dau of Wm Heacock & Ann Roberts) 2) William Wilson married Phebe Penrose (dau of Jonathan Penrose & Martha James) 3) Mary Wilson (b. 1746) married William Tennis 4) Jane Wilson (b. 1748) married Barak Michener 5) John Wilson (b. 1750-1760) married unknown LNU 6) Margaret Wilson (b. ~1750) married William Yocum 7) Ann Wilson (b. 1756-1765) married William Skelton 8) Joseph Wilson (b. 1761) married Elizabeth LNU Some members of the family were Quakers, including Ann Skelton (the mother), Jane Wilson Michener, and Joseph Wilson. While in Bucks County, the family had later connections to Richland, Plumstead, and Solebury Townships. While in Montgomery County, the family had later connections to Franconia, Towamincin, and Hatfield Townships. Thanks, Rick Wilson Austin, TX

I've "rescued" an old photograph of Grandmother CLINE and Ann BAIN which was taken at the J. W. Montee Studio in McMinnville, OR. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1890's with the two women likely in their 50's to 70's at the time the photograph was taken. I believe that this is likely a photograph of Mary WILSON CLINE and her daughter Ann CLINE BAIN. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding this family: Mary WILSON was b. 5 Feb 1816 or 1817 in Fountain Co. IN to parents John WILSON (1785-1845) and Mary CONN (1790-1867). Mary was one of 10 children born to this couple including, Sala "Sally" Myra; Samuel; John J.; Mary; James M.; William C.; Hannah; Charloty; George W.; and Thomas J. WILSON, all born between 1810 and 1829. Mary married Jacob B. CLINE (b. 1812 in Kentucky-d. 23 Dec 1888 in San Bernardino, CA- son of Philip CLINE and Mary POLLY) on 28 Dec 1836 in Rock Island Co. IL and together they had 11 children including, John W.; Mary Prudentia; Isabelle or Isabella "Belle" Logie; Mary Jane; Elizabeth Jane; George; Caroline; Jacob; Antha Anthey; Jacob; and Ann Elizabeth CLINE all born between 1836 and 1855. The family left Iowa for Oregon in March 1844 and arrived in Oregon on 20 Dec 1844. Jacob was married three times including once after he and Mary divorced in 1862, and three more children were born including, George; Ella Dora; and Charles CLINE between 1865 and 1871. Mary died 22 Jan 1910 in Portland, OR. Her daughter Anna Elizabeth CLINE was b. 16 Dec 1840 in Davenport, IA and married Charles H. BAIN (b. 1839) on Portland, OR on 5 Sept 1861 and together they had 4 children including, John A.; Charles E.; Mary D.; and Laura A. BAIN all born between 1864 and 1870. Anna married a second time to John HARRIS and she died in Portland, OR on 15 Sept 1931. I am hoping to locate someone from this family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

Good Morning Everyone, My John Wilson/Willson (1791-1869) was born abt 1791 either in South Carolina or on the Atlantic Ocean - depending on which record you are looking at. He was Quaker. John married Polly Brooks (1800-1860) who supposedly was born in Quebec. Unknown where they married, but their first child, Oliver (1817-1880), or children, was born in New York. The next child I have found, and the rest of them (an additional 8 kids) were born in Elgin County, Ontario, Canada between 1824 and 1839. It is my feeling that there are additional children born between Oliver in 1817 and David in 1824, Oliver's death certificate says he was born in NY. I've never found his birth record. I've looked for the family in Quaker records and found nothing. There is a John and Polly in Brooklyn, but it is the wrong family. Anyone connect to this family? Any ideas for where I look next? Any help greatly appreciated. Dee Sager Marion, Indiana USA
I have posted to this group also and still this family has not located the parents and what happened to the elusive John W. Wilson, born Texas, listed with wife Vada and twin daughters Merlene and Alene in Dawson County, Texas 1930 Census. They had another daughter born in 1931; John is missing from then on. Even in this census, there is an indication that he was not present then. Descendants are searching for possibilities - what happened to JOHN W. WILSON?? County records have no reference of a death, or Find A Grave doesn't provide any info. Vada, his wife, returned to Bosque County, TX and married again in 1935 to Mize Arther, and they raised the daughters, after one of the twins (Merlene) died at age 6 months and was buried in the area of Lamesa, Dawson, TX. Any help is appreciated! Nell Ardmore, OK In a message dated 3/8/2017 9:59:48 A.M. Central Standard Time, pkcb113@bellsouth.net writes: I lost my train of thought when I was interrupted at work. Can you provide more information than that? Dates would help....... spouses names, parent names etc. I have a misc Phillip Wilson b. 1857 in Hickman KY died in California m. Anna Shirley and son of Charles James Fox Wilson and Harriet Lucy Wilson who was from Union Co. Ky. I have no children for this Phillip. I also have another misc Phillip Wilson b,. 1849 m. to Mary Morgan of Cumberland TN. One never knows where they end up...... who would think the guy above would be born in KY, died in CA and buried in IL where the family is. Paula: I looked at the David Wenrick entry in 1870 Jackson Co., Alabama, on my Ancestry.com. I think it is clearly "Chambers". To be misinterpreted for Chalmers, the "l" would have to be before the "m." (Maybe I'm stating what you've already concluded.) So then I put in "Chambers" for Jackson Co. Got several entries, all in Scottsboro, like "Josphine Chambers" is. Tried Chalmers, but found none (at lest on the first 3 pages of entries). Maybe she was being fostered in the Wenrick family, from one of those other Chambers entries in Scottsboro. Or, perhaps she is a niece to David Wenrick? Interesting quandary! William J. Seeking any connection between the Wilson and CHALMERS/CHAMBERS families. On the 1870 Jackson Co AL census, there seems to be a Josephine CHALMERS?? born 1860 AL living in the home of David Windrix and Manerva/Minerva Jane Wilson Windrix. Also in the home is William Wilson 68 yrs, born SC. He is Maniver's father. Josephine's surname is unclear on this census. Many have offered their opinions as to exactly what name is show but most agree it is either CHALMERS or Chambers. Why is Josephine CHALMERS/Chambers in this home? Is she related? This is the only place that I've ever the name(s) associated with a Wilson family. Could there be a much earlier connection between them; possibly in SC or GA 1700's-1860's? In the earlier years, Pennsylvania might even be a factor. Would really appreciate help with this one. Paula Sent from my iPad PAULA DUNKLIN
Would be grateful for any info on the family of Margaret Wilson b1856 possibly Prescott, Leeds, Ontario. She married Samuel Ransier 1879 in Morristown, St Lawrence NY. Some sources have her parents as Edmund Wilson & Jane Maize of Ontario. But I have a death record for a Margaret Alice Wilson b 5 Oct 1856 Ontario - d 20 Jan 1936 in Hope, Durham, Ontario - single - parents Edward Wilson & Jane Maize. How could the Margaret Wilson who married Samuel Ransier be the daughter of Edmund Wilson & Jane Maize? Thanks.
