<PRE>Can anyone put this Wilson family with the Chinn's of Middleburg VA.
Hi list members, I'm looking for the family of Jake Luther Wilson. He was the son of Darious Iven and Genettie "Nettie" Trout Wilson. Jake was born probably in McLeansboro, Illinois in 1904. According to Darious' military pension file, Darious and Genettie married in 1900. Of the 3 children they had together only Jake survived past infancy. In late 1907 or very early 1908 Darious and Nettie Wilson divorced in Mt. Vernon, Ind. (according to the pension file records). I have not found any divorce papers in Posey Co., Indiana as yet nor have I located Genettie "Nettie" Wilson and Jake on the 1910 Posey Co., Ind. census. The Trout family is from the McLeansboro, Illinois area and Darious' family although originally from Manchester, Illinois at the time of their marriage Darious' family was rooted in Webb City, Missouri. Does anyone have a Jake Luther Wilson in their family or a Genettie Trout Wilson? To confuse the situation a little more, it is unknown why the couple would have gone to Indiana for a divorce> were they living there at the time? There is a Mt. Vernon, Illinois very near the McLeansboro town where they lived as well as a Mt. Vernon, Missouri not more then 10 miles away from the childhood home of Darious Wilson in Webb City. I could use some help if any of this rings a bell for someone out there I would love to speak to you. Roberta

I have no information about him, but a James Wilson purchased a 302 acre tract of land in Augusta County (later Rockbridge) in 1760. The tract was adjacent to a 317 acre tract purchased by William Wilson also in 1760. Hayes Creek ran along one boundry of the two tracts. The James Wilson tract was very near two tracts purchased by John Wilson in 1753. I suspect that these two tracts might be owned by a father and a son, each named John Wilson. James and Williams above COULD be sons of one John and brothers of the other John. (Speculation only) Larry Wilson
Yes. I've been looking for a James Wilson in Virginia for quite a while. All that I know about him is that he lived on a plantation in Virginia until 1800 when he moved to Ross County, Ohio, and that he served in the Revolutionary War, and was severely wounded. One of his sons was named John C., born 1796 in possibly Campbell County. I'm not sure of his other children or his wife's name. Harold McDonald Florida
Looking for a James Wilson b. 1767 in VA.....anyone have a James of this time period?
