    3. Judi --- Have a John M. WILSON/WILLSON b PA 1800, possibly Pittsburgh or Ft Pitt. Locating his exact birthplace has been unsuccessful, also his parents & siblings. One brother may have been William Lewis WILSON, also b Pa abt 1805; m'd Mary INGRAM, Pickaway Co, OH. There is a William WILSON listed with John M. in the Allen County, OH 1850 census. His birth date would have been abt 1779. John M. m'd Mary FRIDLEY in 1826, Pickaway Co, OH. Did any of your WILSON's go to or pass through these Counties? colleen ----- Original Message ----- From: "Judi Wilson" <jbwilson@westpa.net> To: <WILSON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 01, 2003 9:01 AM Subject: [WILSON-L] Butler, Pa. 3. I'm looking for Wilsons in PA, but don't know which county. My John Wilson was b 1863 somewhere in PA. His mother was from somewhere in PA, but his father was from Maine. He was supposedly the youngest in his family, and one of his parents was married twice. He left home at 14 and turned up in Minn. at age 21. That's about all I know. Does any of this ring a bell? 2. I am a descendant of John Melton Wilson born 1874 probably Pendleton County WV or Highland County VA, s/o John William Wilson born Highland County, VA about 1842 married Janie Jones, s/o of John L. Wilson born Lewis County, Va about 1819 married Barbara Erwin. I am anxious to connect to other cousins related to me. I realize there were lots of Wilsons in this area. That is why I am hitting so many snags, a problem for every researcher. I think the father of John L. maybe Walter but John is not out of the question. John L. came back to Highland County, which was formed from Augusta County. Any connections? The names George, William, Harry, Walter and Preston are continuously in my line up thru 1930's. 3. Happy New Year, Bonnie We had some correspondence several years ago and I understand you definitely are connected to our WILLSON lieage. We have a Henry Buchner WILLSON in our group, he was the son of Mordecai Willson and Rachel VanSickle, he married, and his wife was pregnant when he died part of a year later. I am not sure of the cause of death, the child was a son named Henry Buchner Willson, and was raised by the grandparents. He is interred in our Union United Church Cemetery with his grandparents. Is this the Henry WILLSON you area searching for? I think you know that Richard Willson in Ohio has been working on a Family History and has it at the printers now. He has gathered much more than he had before and much more than we are working on. Here in Ontario Wayne Willson and I are preparing a History on the descendants of Mordecai and Rachel with some background on each of them. We are hoping to have it ready for July 2003, but time will tell if we succeed. Richard's book is goingt o be superb as he has covered all basis and has found many new lineages he did not know about before when he published his first 2 volumes. Our group was not known to him at that time. Mordecai and Rachel had 16 children so now he has much info on them, but we have not finished updating so he did not get everything updated on this group. That is to be in our publication. Lloyd and I have been collecting since 1975 and trying to locate connections, also now updating info as much as we can find.!!!! Bonnie, if this does not fit what you were asking about just pass it by, but to me your question fit so I had to send the above info. The above Henry Buchner was born 31 August 1834 in the Township of Ancaster, county of Wentworth, Upper Canada, married Amanda Olive Davis on 30 March 1858 in Mosa Twp, Middlesex county Canada West. Henry Died 22 August 1858 in Wardsville, Mosa Twp., buried in Wardsville area. Henry B. (Jr.) born 4 March 1859. Raised by grandparents, and died in Union at age of 24 on 15 may 1883 If you are finding this person, father or son, in your interest, please let me know, I am hoping to get more info yet, but do not have it right now. However do not leave out Richard's new family history , we may both have a publication for your interest as well. Sincerely Lloyd and Norma Smith Bonnie Barnes wrote: > I am looking for any information on the family of Henry B. Wilson.
