I've hit a brick wall with my Wilson G-G-Grandparents!!! Any suggestion will be appreciated. (1) I cannot find the maiden name for my G-G-Grandmother, ARTEMISA [Artemissia, Artimessia, Artemecy] _______Wilson who was born in North Carolina in about 1812-1813. (2) She married George W [illiam] Wilson/Willson, who was born in Louisiana in about 1810-1812 and immigrated to Trinity Co., Texas in about 1839. (3) I do not know where he was born, (4) who his parents were, or (5) when / where George and Artemisa Wilson were married. I located Artemissa _______ Wilson in the 1870 Trinity Co., TX Census, living with my G-Grandfather, John D. Wilson, I and his wife Millie Ann Wilson. (6) I have also been unable to locate the maiden surname for Millie Ann. She was born in Alabama in about 1847. (7) I have been unable to find the date or place of their marriage. H-E-L-P me p-l-e-a-s-e!!! Do any of these names, places ring a bell with you? Any help in locating this information will be greatly appreciated. I look forward to hearing from some of you WILSON/WILLSON researchers out there. Thel Curtis, Atlanta, GA pdcurtis@ix.netcom.com

Looking for parents of above mentioned Joseph Pogue Wilson, where he was born and when he married Eula Mae Coggins. She may have a given name of Helen Coggins. Information on their Children is also requested ;) Thanks, Michele Mucke mmucke63@msn.com
By the way...Graham Wilson s/o Charles mentioned previously married a See and a Short. Regretfully I do not know where they lived in Bath and Greenbrier Co.s. James Wilson m. Sarah Mounts whose guardian was Agnes Givens whose husb. Wm had died. The Givens lived in Bath Co. and Agnes' son Robert signed the marriage bond as a witness. The Wilsons of Bath Co., whom you may have found are Wm and Stephen ( who m. Jane Dinwiddie and relocated to the Wayne Co. area with their children abt. the same time that James and Sarah did). William and Stephen have an interesting "write up" in the History of Highland Co. by Merton. James and Sarah are mentioned only in a listing of marriages. The Wilson settlement was located on the Highland and Bath Co. line near the Jackson River. Some of ancestors need better PR...or at least better writers..lol Hope this helps. Dee

(Its believed his father was also a Joseph Wilson). Joseph is next married to Sally Collier or Collar or Kohler by `1819 and they are living in Cayuga Co. NY. By the late 1820's they moved to Java area, Arcade Township, Genesee Co. NY. By the mid 1830's they moved to Ontario Co. NY. By the mid 1840's they moved thru Canada and came down Wisc. and lived in McHenry Co. Ill. If any of your Wilson family moved to these counties like mine during these times, plz contact me so I can see if we are connected... Tx Stephanie stephany@mts.net

Seeking information about Ephraim Wilson, b. 1756 in Sussex Co., Delaware. He was a Rev. War soldier, and settled in Bourbon Co., KY, after the war. He later moved to Ripley Co., IN, where he is buried. Who were his parents? Barbara
My husband's ggrandfather was named Hiram Lee Wilson. He was born 06 Apr 1859 in Ohio. In 1880 he was in Indiana where he married Dica Ann Brough in 1881. They then settled in Arkansas. I have not traced this Hiram's parents as yet but possible his father was also named Hiram. Family remembrances say they originally came from New York. I have no clue where in Ohio they were. Do you know where yours settled in Ohio. We might have a possible connection here. I'm researching this line and have encountered a problem. Most of what I have seen indicates that Margaret Wilson born 1821, married Samuel Cornett, was the daughter of Philip Wilson and Christine Rogers. I just got back from Salt Lake City and I couldn't find any evidence of Margaret being Philip's and Christine's daughter, but I did find that Jonathan Wilson, Philip's brother had a daughter named Margaret. I would welcome any information you might have. Beverlee Stuart-Borok
HI LIST LOOKING FOR JAMES HOLLIS WILSON BORN 1- 9- 1925 JAMES HENERY WILSON BORN 1888 BOTH BORN IN EASTERLY TEXAS ROBERTSON COUNTY CAN NOT FIND ON CENSUS PLEASE HELP LNDLTT@AOL.COM
Thank you for the response. I also think that we have two different James Wilsons. My James supposedly died about 1841 at the home of one of his sons in Cincinnati, Ohio at about age 63. I haven't found his death record or burial site yet, so I'm using second hand info. One of his other sons, John C. Wilson, lived in Buckskin Township, Ross County, Ohio all of his life, and at one time owned quite a bit of land there. The only info that I have about James is a couple of lines in a document about George C. Wilson, a son of John C. There is a mention about the grandfather of George, James Wilson of Virginia, who served with General George Washington, and died 1841 in Cincinnati. Not much info to work with. Thank you, Harold in Florida
Thanks Linda...I will pursue this. Very grateful for you time and interest. Dee
