In the 1850 census John is shown living with his son Isaac and his daughter-in-law Julia Elizabeth Jackson Wilson. Jim Swanson

    2. Andy, I'm not sure if we've talked before; however,my Wilsons were from GA and one from AL. I know they were someplace in GA ca 1850-1852 because the one that moved on to AL was born GA ca 1850-1852. I also think some of them moved on from GA to TX; maybe Louisiana first before TX. They were in and around Rusk Co, TX, about 100 miles from the La state line. I have almost nothing on my Wilsons. Would you share yours? 1. Re: [WILSON-L] Wilson item on Ebay
    2. William Wilson
    3. Wow! What a surprise. My book finally made it onto Ebay. I put this book together the spring of 1989 for my relatives, to give them the info that I had, at that time, recently discovered about our ancestors. Never expected it would end up on Ebay, or the internet. Of course, Ebay didn't exist then, and the internet was barely getting started---certainly not the universal thing it is now. I've been signed on to the Wilson list since I first got Internet service the spring of 1996---and I still haven't found anyone that I can conclusively say is searching my line of Wilsons, ie, John and Mahala (Scott) Wilson, both born in Switzerland County, IN, in 1813, married in 1835, moved to Holt County, MO, in 1842, and to Linn County, OR, in 1851. And I still haven't found any parents or siblings for John Wilson. So if anyone out there has connections to this line, please contact me. John Wilson is my "brick wall." Oh, and I don't know anything about the old bible. That was apparently a different line, by somebody who had my book. William J. 3. I am looking for information on my gggrandfather, William C. Wilson (born about 1843 in WV, according to the census's I've seen), married Sarah Martha Dean 24 May 1879 in Lawrence Co., OH. I understand he was married before this marriage, but was a widower and had several children. Trying to find out who his parents were, and his first wife's name, and all the names of his children....I know some of them...as listed in the census, but I have been told they had daughters also, but I only have the names of 5 of their son's...James W. Wilson married Sadie Mae Buckley, Charles Wilson, Coonie Wilson, ( a nickname?), Adam Wilson, and David Wilson, married Lottie Delong. I am a descendant of James W. Wilson, who was born May 4, 1882 in Lawrence County. Do any of these names ring a bell with anyone? If you have information on any of these folks, I would like to share info with you. Any help would be appreciated. Donna
