I'm wondering about an Edward Wilson b. 1738. Records show he was from Shenandoah Co, VA prior to moving to Muskingum Co, OH ca. 1806, which, coincidentally, is when the history I mentioned shows William Wilson moving to Licking Co, OH. Have you run across any connections between Edward and William? Sandy Wilson Barton researching Wilson, Boyer, and Fink lines in Muskingum and Licking Counties, OH.

After looking around somemore this afternoon (instead of working) I'm wondering if anyone has any information on the Wilson family of Licking county, Ohio that is listed on this page. http://www.heritagepursuit.com/Licking/LickingFile12u-z.htm (Scroll down to page 799) William Wilson b. 1722, husband of Margaret Blackburn is supposed to be the progenitor of many Licking Co., Ohio Wilsons and many Shenandoah Co, VA Wilson. My ancestor, Edward Wilson, who settled in Muskingum Co, OH is also from Shenandoah Co., VA. Many of Edward's children moved on to Licking Co, OH after 1830. Anyone know anything about the Wilsons in Licking Co, OH? Sandy Wilson Barton researching Wilson, Boyer, and Fink lines in Muskingum and Licking Counties, OH.

Thanks for the help Harold. Bob
This may be a LONG shot but here-goes. I have an Elizabeth Wilson b. 1820 d. 1877 in Kanawha Co. W.Va. m. Andrew Anderson. Anyway, her father was George Wilson b. 1785 m. Margaret Unknown. However, Andrew's 3rd great-grandmother was Margarethea FEY who married a Lauterbach, son married a Gratzman, their son married a Klien and they lived in Shenandoah, Va. Their daughter Christina Lauterbach, b. 1746 Lancaster Co. Pa d. Monroe Co. Va m. Adam Bowyer of Monroe Co. Va. Their daughter Mary Margaret m. James Anderson who then had Andrew. Like I said, LONG shot but maybe someone will recognize some of these names. I am missing my John Wilson family (siblings/parents) of Fauquier Co. Va. at least thats where he lived. Hoping connections happen. How had I missed this before, except several times boarders or servants showed up and I over looked this one. Then I got intrigued whose mother is this. I put a note on genforum for her and someone answered with all my Wilsons back to the 1700's. Her real name was Mary B H Devericks Wilson and had married James Johns in 1832 after the death of her first husband William Wilson in 1829. > his father was Samuel and Jane Wilson of Bull Pasture Mountain, Pendleton County, Va. Now when you say Jackson River?....is this just below Monterey/Vanderpool, Highland County, VA or farther down away?......I have John Ruddell's brother, Stephen married to Mary Bird and her brother, John Bird lived in Monterey, VA. As you saw the BIRD's and Ruddell's lived close to each other. This Robert could very well be the same......more research is need on this....or does anyone see something that eliminates this possibility? I am having the same problem that Harold and Paula has: I have been searching since 1976 for: Solomon Wilson born ca 1783 in VA. He was living in Jackson County, IN by 1820 with wife Delilah who was born ca 1796 in KY.
