    2. What is this about a new Wilson Site? Our Wilsons, (brothers, Zacheus, Robert, David, one sister and mother) came from Cumberland Co. PA in 1755 to Meckleburg Co. NC. Zacheus was signer of Mecklenburg Declaration of Independence. Wilson Co. TN was named for David. Roberta Padgtt

    3. No, I live just outside of Denison, Texas. I still have kinfolks there. I am researching my Great-Grandfather who lived there. My Grandfather also was born in Old Bellefonte, Jackson, Alabama. His name was John Nelson Gay son of Samuel Gay and Elizabeth Milligan. My Grandmother, Susan Angeline Wilson, was his second wife. His first wife was Mary Ann, Mollie, Webster. She died in 1906 in Texas. Oh, yes, I was born in Temple, Bell, Texas and was raised in San Saba, San Saba, Texas. 3. Emma, I have two Wilson lines in East Tennessee in the very early days... Family history tells us that one of the Wilson family, Nancy, was in the area of what is now Union Co TN while the Indian Fires could still be seen in the dark. We have little on this Nancy.. She is the mother of three known Wilson men. Jesse, born 10/30/1802. Son Lewis and son Nelson birthday unknown. We have never been able to find a father for Nancy or a husband for that matter... In fact old Jesse might just have been a Massengill. A bastard bond was found in Anderson Co for a Nancy Wilson and a ? Massengill.. I have not been able to find a copy of this bond.. Anyone know of this line? My line unlike my husbands line is known to me.. Susan Wilson who married William Harrison Kincaid of the same area in Tennessee. In fact my husband likes to say that it could be said they were only an arrow shot apart.. However I find that they were separated by a river.. Think this is the Powell River. If any of this could be a help or could anyone help me on your Wilson list I would also like to join. Kay Goforth Adams.

    3. I am very interested in what you had to say. My brickwall is John Wilson b. 1772 unknown m. Elizabeth Travers Chinn. She descends from English immigrants that came to Lancaster Co. Va. I have done extensive searching and inquiries and have a pretty good lead that my Wilson's came out of Chester Co. PA I haven't done extensive document reading yet and went south to Loudoun Co. Va. Strangely though John and Elizabeth had a marriage license from Frederick Co. MD. I have yet to find a MD connection. My question is this: How do you check all this stuff without going crazy. There are so many and they all named their kids the same names. How do you keep from confusing them all or wonder "are they mine" Check the early wills in Chester, PA, Kent, > > MD, and > > the New Castle, Delaware area. 3. With all the Wilson postings I wanted to list mine also. I have a Hugh Wilson b.9-28-1783 (I hope) in Ireland? His father may have been Thomas or John Wilson and I was told his sibblings were 1. Jane b.1774 2. Sarah b. 1778 3. Edward b. 1779 4. Isaac b. 1781 5. Hugh b. 1783* the above hugh 6. Samual/Samuel b. 1786 Hugh was married to a Lydia Unknown about 1804/5. I have found them on LDS. Their children were all born in Byberry PA which is very near Philly. Hugh's mother may have been Ann Unknown. The children above 1 thru 6 were christened at Christs Church, Byberry. Daughter Mary Rachel married George Gray in October 1828 by the William Newlin ESQ in Chester PA then they (George & Mary Rachel) moved to the Pittsburgh area by the 1840s. Do not know what ever became of Hugh & Lydia & the rest of their children. Nancy
