Still looking for our elusive Nancy Willis who was born 1812 in Mitchell Co., N.C. she married about 1827 to William Hunsucker Thomas born 1810 in Yancey Co., N.C. They migrated to Union County Georgia around 1855 and raised eleven children. Is anyone familiar with Mitchell County Willis families? Both Nancy and husband Billy are buried at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church cemetery in Union Co., GA. Two oldest daughters were married by the 1850 Yancey census that lists the names. Elizabeth married Harden Sparks and Martha married John Hensley.
